The
End
Goal...
What do we do?
Imagine a half-circle continuum with “sick” at the bottom of one end, “healthy” in the center, and “fit” at the far end. Most wellness programs and the like want to get you “healthy”, 5000 steps a day, maybe some yoga here and there, and so on. But you are only healthy until you’re not. And once you’re not, you begin that seemingly inevitable decline.
We avoid that dynamic. We lift weights, avoiding muscle decay and osteoporosis. We work with balance and agility, avoiding broken hips and “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up!” syndrome. We do large, compound movements from core to extremity, so our ability to navigate life stays good, and everyday tasks are no challenge. We get you as far to the “fit” side of the continuum as possible, providing a buffer zone against sickness, disease, frailty, and even death.
Our end goal?
To get up one morning in our mid-to-late 90’s, eat a good breakfast, play badminton with the great-grandkids, eat again, run some errands, walk the dogs, do a workout, have a fabulous dinner, relax with our loved ones, go to bed and sleep. And not wake up. Living our lives as we should, and as we are designed to do, without drugs, without constant pain, without being consigned to a “rest home”, right up until we are done. Just live our lives, independent, capable, and FIT.
What do you need?
You do not need to be “fit” to start. This is the way you get fit. All you need is the desire to improve yourself, and a good attitude. What we do is for anyone, but it’s not for everyone. As long as you are willing to try, you WILL succeed. Remember, this is NOT an overnight endeavor. Change takes both effort AND time. Consistency is key. Show up, do the work, make changes as needed to your nutrition, and you WILL reap the benefits.
Everything we do in our workouts can be tailored to the individual, no matter what your beginning level of fitness is. You can do this. We’ll be there with you, every step of the way. We’ll provide structure, options, coach your movement, correct flaws, and do all we can to insure “the best hour of your day” each and every time you walk in our gym. All you have to do is walk through the door. We’ve got your back.
